● People come to Jory when they want to give back and need a partner who can help them think through
where their philanthropy will make the biggest difference. Others come to him for guidance on special
education options, looking for a leading, well-respected program for a child in their life.
● Jory meets people through referrals, introductions, and outreach. He learns what they’re hoping to
accomplish, gives them a tour of Pathway’s campus, and helps match their giving to a real need at the
school.
● Jory’s ideal partners want to help children and youth, especially those with special needs or who learn
differently, build a path to success and independence. They range from individuals to businesses, private
family foundations, and corporate foundations.
Jory Barrad
Director of Development & Communications, The Pathway School
Jory’s personal mission and passion is to improve the lives of children and families who need a little extra help, and to make the world a better place one life at a time. He does this, in part, through his work for The Pathway School, a nonprofit special education school that has served children, youth, and families in Southeastern Pennsylvania for more than 6 decades. While always seeking to help colleagues through networking and helping make connections, Jory seeks your help to attract philanthropic support (that means donations and grants) and potentially board member candidates for The Pathway School. If you, your business, your friends and/or colleagues want to help make our world and our communities better places (“Tikkun Olam”), please reach out to Jory! On a personal note, he enjoys spending free time with his wife, three sons, pets, and friends, and when the weather is right, Jory can be found touring the countryside with his wife on their Harley Davidson motorcycle.
